(Guadalupe County) – The voters have spoken in Guadalupe County. Big changes are coming to the Santa Clara City Council following the results of Saturday’s May 3 Election. Results show a newly elected Mayor. Chase Grier unseated former Mayor Jeff Hunt for the position. Grier led the race with 165 votes followed by Hunt with only 45.
Voters also unseated both incumbents in Place 3 and 5.
Amanda Desormeaux defeated Danny Trammell 152 to 56 for Place 3 while Darin Henningsen defeated John Reagen 128 to 77.
In the Marion ISD, Incumbent Bubba Kunde and Ryan Schwab were successful in capturing the two available seats on the board of trustees. Kunde led the race with 277 of the votes cast while Schwab garnered 208 votes. The third candidate Traci Sarmiento trailed with 70 votes.
