(Seguin) – Voters across Guadalupe County will be headed to the polls this weekend.
Saturday marks the May 3 election for the cities of Santa Clara, New Braunfels, Universal City and Selma.
There will also be school related elections in the Marion, Comal and Prairie Lea school districts.
In the Marion ISD, voters will be deciding on two members of the board of trustees. The three candidates vying for the two available seats include Incumbent Bubba Kunde and newcomers Traci Sarmiento and Ryan Schwab. Not seeking re-election is Trustee J.C. Batey.
The city of Marion was also scheduled host an election on May 3, but that election was canceled after all the races were determined to be unopposed.
Marion Mayor Daniel Loyola will be re-elected at that time, along with Karen Mills and Phil Karrer, who were running unopposed for two seats on the Marion City Council.
Election day polling locations include The Seguin Silver Center, Selma City Hall, the Marion ISD Tondre Room, the Guadalupe County Elections Annex Office in Shertz and Redemptive Grace Ministries in New Braunfels.
Polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
