(Marion) — The Marion ISD is celebrating its outstanding educators for the 2024-2025 school year.
Those being celebrated this spring include: Norma Krueger Elementary- Primary Campus Teacher of the Year Christina Barber; Norma Krueger Elementary – Karrer Campus Teacher of the Year Kelly Kilpatrick; Marion Middle School Teacher of the Year Courtney Baker and Marion High School Teacher of the Year Jose Jaso.
In addition to naming a Teacher of the Year for each respective campus, the Marion ISD also presented this year’s ZIPP Awards.
The ZIPPS Awards recognize top employees and staffers throughout the district.
Named as the 2024-2025 award recipients were Karla Shaffer and Andrea Soliz. Shaffer is the secretary at the Krueger Primary Campus while Soliz works in the attendance/registrar office for Marion High School.
District officials say all individuals were nominated and voted on by their peers.
