(Seguin) — The Seguin Lady Matador softball team will play San Antonio Southwest in the bi-district round of the UIL Class 5A playoffs this week.
Seguin went 11-1 in District 27-5A, earning a district co-championship with San Antonio Burbank. The Lady Matadors and Lady Dragons will play a best-of-three-game series. Game one will be held on Friday evening at Matador Legends Ballpark. Game two and game three (if necessary) will take place at Southwest High School on Saturday afternoon. We will have all of the games on KWED.
(Marion) — The Marion Lady Bulldogs will face Lytle in the Class 3A bi-district round.
Marion earned a District 27-3A co-championship with Jourdanton. Their series with Lytle will also be a best-of-three. Game one is Wednesday night in Marion. Game two will take place Thursday in Lytle. A game three (if necessary) will take place on Saturday afternoon in Marion. We will have game one on Wednesday and game two on Thursday on KWED.
(Seguin) — The Seguin Matador baseball team can match the softball team with at least a share of the District 27-5A title when they host San Antonio Lanier on Tuesday.
Seguin is in first place in the district, one game ahead of San Antonio Edison, with two games left in the district season. The Mats have clinched a playoff spot. A win Tuesday and they will earn a share of the district championship.
Tuesday’s game is the last home game of the regular season for the Matadors and you’ll hear the game on KWED. First pitch between Lanier and Seguin takes place at 6 p.m. at Legends Ballpark.
(Poteet) — The Marion Bulldogs will finish their District 27-3A season on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs will play at Poteet. Marion will play in the bi-district round next week.
(Geronimo) — Navarro wraps their District 26-4A season with two games against Fredericksburg this week.
The Panthers have clinched a playoff spot. Navarro and Fredericksburg will play in Geronimo on Tuesday and then finish the season on Friday in Fredericksburg.
(Seguin) — The Texas Lutheran baseball team fell in their final home game of the 2025 season on Friday, dropping a 7-3 decision to Concordia.
The Bulldogs conclude the regular season with a three-game series at Schreiner starting on Friday.
(Seguin) — The TLU softball team run-ruled Dallas 12-1 at Ed Kruse Stadium on Friday for their 18th straight victory.
TLU will play at McMurry for a three-game set starting on Friday. One more win by the Bulldogs will clinch their 11th straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season title. The SCAC tournament starts May 2nd in Georgetown.
