(San Antonio) — The Seguin Matadors play at Sam Houston this afternoon. The Mats are in first place in District 27-5A with a 10-1 record. They’re a game in front of San Antonio Edison with three games left in the district season.
First pitch between the Hurricanes and Matadors takes place at 4:30 p.m. at Sam Houston High School.
(Seguin) — The Lady Matador softball team has ended their regular season with at least a share of the district title. They await the result of tonight’s Burbank/Lanier game to see if they win the title outright. Seguin leads Burbank by a half-game.
A win by Burbank tonight will tie the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Matadors for first place in the district. A tie-breaker game for the district’s top seed could be played next week.
(Geronimo) — The Navarro Lady Panthers are still alive for a playoff berth.
Navarro hosts Fredericksburg tonight in District 26-4A play. A win by Navarro and a loss by Canyon Lake in their game against Bandera tonight will send the Lady Panthers to next week’s bi-district round.
Tonight’s game between the Lady Panthers and Lady Billies was originally scheduled in Fredericksburg, but the locations were switched when their first district game was moved to the Hill Country due to rain in Geronimo. Fredericksburg won the first matchup. Tonight’s game gets under at 7 p.m. at Navarro High School.
(Wimberley) — The Navarro Panther baseball team is in Wimberley tonight looking to sweep a two-game series.
The Panthers handed the Texans their first district loss on Tuesday in Geronimo. Both teams are 6-1 in district. Tonight’s matchup gets underway at 7 O’clock in Wimberley.
(San Antonio) — The Marion Bulldogs are playing at San Antonio Cole this afternoon.
The Bulldogs are 6-2 in District 27-3A. They beat the Cougars 14-1 at Marion High School back on April 1st.
First pitch between Cole and Marion takes place at 5 O’clock at Cole High School.
(San Antonio) — And the Marion Lady Bulldogs can lock up a share of the district softball championship when they finish their season at Cole tonight.
A win by the Lady Bulldogs will tie them with Jourdanton for the district title. Tonight’s game between Marion and Cole starts at 6:15 p.m. in San Antonio.
