Man charged with murder after providing lethal dose of Fentanyl to area woman

(Guadalupe County) — A man has been charged in the death of a Guadalupe County woman after reportedly giving her drugs containing a lethal dose of Fentanyl.

Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office investigators on Tuesday served the warrant for Murder by Induction of Fentanyl to Hayden Ross Corbin. Corbin was already incarcerated in the Comal County Jail on unrelated drug charges when the warrant was served.

Investigators say on Feb. 6, deputies responded to an overdose death investigation at an address located in Guadalupe County. They say the victim was a 24-year-old female who lived in New Braunfels.  Investigators discovered the woman had taken what was presumed to be “M-30’s” also known as “Perc30s” or counterfeit Percocet. They say these pills usually contain and/or are laced with fentanyl. Through investigative efforts, it was discovered that Corbin had allegedly provided the victim with a lethal dose of Fentanyl.

Investigators say they have collected sufficient evidence to file the charges against Corbin who again, had already been behind bars for the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and for possession with the intent to deliver.
