(Honolulu, HI) — Seguin Matador football player Caleb Aguilar announced on social media Wednesday that he has been invited to play in the Hawaii Tiki Bowl to be held in Honolulu in December.

Aguilar played in eight games in his junior season last fall for the Matadors. He registered 25 tackles including two for loss. Aguilar will be joined in Hawaii by teammate Ian Moreno who announced he received an invitation to the bowl game last month.

Moreno was moved from the defensive secondary to the offensive side of the ball due to injuries at the running back position for the Matadors in 2024. Moreno burst onto the scene in the third game of the season when he rushed for 296 yards on 42 carries in Seguin’s 41-37 come-from-behind victory over Brazoswood. The junior finished the season with 1273 yards on 233 carries with eight touchdowns.

The Hawaii Tiki Bowl will be held on December 20th in Honolulu.
