(Seguin) — A change in leadership could be on the horizon for the Seguin ISD. The district’s Board of Trustees has called a special meeting for Thursday to discuss a possible retirement agreement for Superintendent Veronica Vijil. The board recently conducted Dr. Vijil’s annual evaluation, and also has conducted two other meetings regarding the superintendent’s contract.
In addition to the retirement agreement, Thursday’s agenda also calls for the board to discuss hiring a search firm to find the district’s next superintendent. Both items will be discussed on closed session, but any action on the retirement agreement and the superintendent search firm will have to be taken in open session.
The special meeting of the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees is slated for 6:30 p.m. in Seguin ISD Administration Building at 1221 E. Kingsbury St.
