(San Antonio) — The Seguin Matadors rolled past San Antonio Brackenridge 11-1 on Monday to open District 27-5A play.

Senior Ocean Moreno drove in five runs for the Mats in the victory. Seguin’s district home opener is tomorrow morning. The Matadors will host San Antonio Edison at Matador Legends Ballpark. First pitch is set for 10 O’clock on Wednesday morning.

(San Antonio) — The Seguin Lady Matadors are 3-0 in district after slugging their way past Brackenridge, 17-0 on Monday.

Kaelynn Ramirez drove in four at the plate and threw three scoreless innings from the circle in the mercy rule win. The Lady Mats have run-ruled all three of their district opponents so far this season. Seguin will host Edison on Wednesday morning. First pitch is set for 10:45 a.m.

(Somerset) — The Marion Bulldog baseball team crushed Somerset 12-2 on Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs pounded out 13 hits in the win. Sophomore Jack Wells had three of those hits and drove in three runs. Wells also struck out six over four and a third innings on the mound.

The Bulldogs will host Jourdanton on Friday night.

(Marion) — The Marion softball team will be at home tonight. The Lady Bulldogs will host Wimberley this evening. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. at Marion High School.

(Geronimo) — And the Navarro Panther baseball and softball teams are both hosting games this evening.

The Panthers will battle Pearsall while the Lady Panthers take on Blanco. Both games start at 7 p.m. tonight at Navarro High School.
