HOUSTON, Texas — The Texas Lutheran men’s golf team finished in sixth place at the Space City Classic at Gus Wortham Park Golf Course in Houston on Tuesday. Individually, senior Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) finished tied for 13th with a final tally of 220 (+7) over 54 holes to lead Texas Lutheran.
The Bulldogs shot a team score of 901 (+49) finishing the tournament with a third round score of 295.
15th-ranked Trinity University won the tournament with a score of six-over par, winning the tournament by 16 strokes.
Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) finished tied for 15th at eight-over par.
Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) signed for a final tally of 10-over (223) to finish 18th. Jeffrey Janik (Harlingen/Harlingen School of Health Professions) finished 46th (+24) while Shea Eason finished 52nd at 35-over par.
Texas Lutheran returns to action Mar.10-11 at the CLU Kingsmen Invitational at Moorpark Country Club in Moorpark, California.
