Ella Mae Finch, age 90 of Seguin, passed away on January 28, 2025.  Ella Mae was born on January 22, 1935 in Gonzales, Texas to Norma (Gerold) and Joseph Wolff.

She will be remembered as a Teacher’s Aid for over twenty-five years with the Gonzales Independent School District.  In retirement she always enjoyed helping her husband with his wood crafts. She always enjoyed working word puzzles in her spare time.  Her most precious times were spent with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Stayton W. Finch, her parents, son-in-law, Freddy Lewis, and brothers-in-law, Gene Garrison, and Ronnie Baker.

Survivors in include her loving daughters, Debbie Lewis and Robin Finch; her grandson who knew and loved her as “Granny”, Brandon Finch; great-grandson, Carson Finch; sisters, Dorothy “Dottie” Garrison and Florence Baker; brothers, James “Buddy” Wolff and wife Shirley, and Robert Lee “Bubba” Wolff and wife Sandra; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 12 noon at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Tom Jones officiating.  Private interment will be held at a later date.

A reception will follow the memorial service at First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 1206 North St. Joseph, Gonzales, Texas, 78629.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
