(Seguin) — The Seguin Lady Matadors wrapped the 2024-25 season on Tuesday night, falling to San Antonio Highlands 53-31 at Seguin High School.
The Lady Mats were led by sophomore Rebecca Wilke who poured in 11 points. Fellow sophomore Britlyn Walls added eight and freshman Faith Franklin tallied six on a pair of three-pointers.
The game was the last for senior Esme Arroyo, who was recognized before the game. Seguin finished the season in 5th place at 7-9 in District 27-5A with a young team that featured seven freshmen.
(San Antonio) — The Seguin Matador boys fell on the road at Highlands Tuesday night but clinched a playoff spot despite the loss.
The Owls took down the Matadors 58-44 on the court. Corey Dailey paced Seguin with 14 points.
Seguin clinched a playoff spot thanks to San Antonio Burbank’s loss to Jefferson on Tuesday night. The Mats are 10-4 and in third place in District 27-5A. Seguin will play at Burbank on Friday night. The boys bi-district playoffs start on February 17th.
(Bandera) — The Navarro Panthers fell 42-27 at Bandera on Tuesday night.
Navarro is still tied for third place in District 26-4A with Canyon Lake with two games left in the district season. The Panthers will play at first place Wimberley on Friday.
(Geronimo) — The Navarro Runnin’ Lady Panthers finished their regular season falling to Bandera 56-43 at Navarro High School on Tuesday night.
Tegan Harborth had 15 points to lead the Lady Panthers. Navarro finished fourth in District 26-4A. They will play in the Class 4A girls bi-district round next week.
(San Antonio) — The Marion girls and boys split their games at Great Hearts Northern Oaks Tuesday night.
The Lady Bulldogs took down the Lady Griffins 53-44. Marion moves on to play in the bi-district round of the Class 3A playoffs next week.
Meanwhile the Marion boys fell to the Griffins 55-46. The Bulldogs will host Young Men’s Leadership Academy on Friday to close their regular season. A win Friday by Marion will clinch a postseason berth. We’ll have Friday’s game on KWED.
(San Antonio) — And the Lifegate Christian teams split their games at Sunnybrook Christian on Tuesday.
The Lady Falcons took their game 52-13 while the Falcon boys came up short 64-50.
Both Lifegate Christian teams will play at McCauley Christian Academy on Friday.
