Albert Bruns Jr entered into rest on January 23, 2025, at the age of 71. He was an avid sportsman and was one of the greatest athletes to come out of Seguin, Texas.
Abby was preceded in death by his father, Albert Bruns, Sr.; sister, Judith Robinson; brother, Melvin “Binky” Bruns and niece, Tatanisha “Tati” Bruns. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Ruby M. LeCroy and 5 children: Destiny Price (Timothy), Amber Bruns, Whitney Bruns (LJ. Rose), Lucia Bruns (Mark Ramos Jr.), Albert “Buster” Bruns (Selena Gonzalez); mother, Gloria Lee Bruns; 2 Grandchildren: Jesse Ruth Price and Zoëlyn Rose. Sisters: Melanie Boone, Mary Calvert, Carrie Bruns . Brothers: Thomas Bruns (Kirshina), Gregory Bruns.
Nieces and Nephews: Robeair LeCroy, Chloe LeCroy, Jeremy Bruns, Melvin “Ja’Rod” Bruns, M’Chelle Bruns, Dantré Bruns, Danica Bruns, Destiny Bruns, Derek Jackson and De’Shaun Jackson; along with a host of other relatives and special friends.
Abby, a beacon of warmth, kindness, and hospitality, could fill a room with laughter. He had a natural talent for connecting with people. He was a true people person, and his presence brought joy and comfort to everyone he met.
Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Friday, February 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Abby’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8th at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 206 N. Travis Street, Seguin, Texas; visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., with services at 11:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the church. Burial services at Fort Sam National Cemetery will be held at a later time and date.
