(Seguin) — Seguin High School multi-sport athlete Corey Dailey has received his first Power 4 college football offer.

The Seguin quarterback announced on social media that he has received an offer from the Pitt Panthers. Pittsburgh offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kade Bell visited Seguin High School on Wednesday and made the offer to Dailey.

As a junior this past season, Dailey was named the District 13-5A Offensive MVP. In three years as Seguin’s starting quarterback, Dailey has thrown for 6,189 yards with 78 touchdowns and just 18 interceptions.

The Pitt Panthers are a member of the ACC. Led by head coach Pat Narduzzi, the Panthers went 7-6 in 2024. They ended their season with a 48-46 loss in six overtimes to Toledo in the GameAbove Sports Bowl. The six overtimes set the record for the most overtime periods in an FBS bowl game.

The offer from Pitt is Dailey’s 5th. He also has college football offers from Division I schools Texas State, UTSA, UTRGV and Incarnate Word.

Dailey is also a star on the Matador basketball team. He currently leads the Matadors in scoring and rebounding, pouring in 22.4 points and pulling down 9.3 boards per game. The Matadors have won six in a row and are in a four-way tie for first place in District 27-5A with Jefferson, Highlands and Edison with six games left in the season.

Seguin will host Lanier today on KWED. Today’s game tips off at 5:30 p.m. Our Matador basketball pregame starts at 5:20 p.m. from Goldie Harris Gym on AM 1580 and streaming at SeguinToday.com.
