(Seguin) — The Seguin High School boys basketball game between Seguin and San Antonio Lanier at Goldie Harris Gym will now be played Thursday thanks to today’s closure of the SAISD.
Only the varsity game will be played. The Matadors have won six in a row and are in a four-way tie for first place in District 27-5A with Jefferson, Highlands and Edison with six games left in the season. All four teams are 8-2 in district play.
And we’ll have Thursday’s rescheduled game between the Matadors and Voks on KWED. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. at Goldie Harris.
(San Antonio) — The Seguin Lady Matadors and Lanier Lady Voks game is also now set for Thursday in San Antonio.
The Lady Mats are currently a game and a half behind Highlands for the fourth and final playoff spot in the district. Seguin and Highlands will close the regular season on February 4th in Seguin.
The Seguin and Lanier girls will tip at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at San Antonio Lanier High School.
(Seguin) — The Seguin boys and girls soccer games with Lanier have been pushed back again. This time to Thursday at Seguin High School.
Those matches will be varsity only with the girls game at 5 p.m. followed by the boys on Thursday at Matador Stadium.
(San Antonio) — The closure of the SAISD has also moved back the Marion boys and girls basketball games.
The Marion boys will play at Young Men’s Leadership Academy on Thursday. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. And the Marion Lady Bulldogs will play Young Women’s Leadership Academy at San Antonio Lanier High School at 5 O’clock on Thursday.
(Geronimo) — The Navarro Panthers and Lady Panthers will get back to the court today.
The Panther boys will host Wimberley. The varsity game will only be played.
This past Friday, the Panthers won their first district game in two years with a 51-46 home victory over Bandera. Navarro and Wimberley will tip off at 6:30 p.m. this evening at Navarro High School.
And the Navarro Runnin’ Lady Panthers are taking on the Wimberley Lady Texans in the Hill Country this afternoon. Navarro is 3-2 after the first half of district play. The Lady Panthers knocked off the Lady Texans, 44-31 on January 3rd in Geronimo. Today’s game will tip at 5:30 at Wimberley High School.
