Main Street releases its 2025 downtown calendar of events

Special by Kyle Kramm, Seguin Main Street & CVB Director

(Seguin) — Downtown Seguin will be active all year long with a full event calendar ensuring you have a reason to come downtown every month. This includes large community events celebrating

Seguin’s rich heritage and monthly markets supporting local home-based entrepreneurs.

Central Park will be the spot for the monthly Yellow Rose Artisan Markets occurring every second Sunday and Fourth Saturday of the month. The markets feature over 40 vendors selling handmade goods, homemade foods, and artwork.

The themed, monthly Third Thursdays hosted by the Downtown Business Alliance of Seguin are an opportunity to explore and shop downtown Seguin late as the businesses stay open until 8 p.m. Each month is a different theme, such as May’s Margarita Madness, to give a little bit more fun to the monthly shopping event.

Every Saturday, Austin Street Market sets up at 414 North Austin Street. The market is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and features a variety of vendors including farmers, artists, and crafters.

In addition to the reoccurring monthly events and markets, downtown will be the site for numerous community festivals, parades, and events. These events bring together the community to celebrate holidays, our culture, and more.

Four parades are scheduled for 2025 including the Biggest Small-Town Fourth of July Parade on July 4, the Guadalupe County Fair Parade on Oct 10, the Veteran’s Day Parade on Nov 11, and the Holiday Stroll Parade on Dec 4.

Other community events to ensure that are on your calendar are MLK March, Moonlight & Roses, Spring Trade Days and Earth Day Festival, Race to Raise, Cinco de Mayo, Summer Concert Series, Pecan Fest, Art & Wine Walk, and Sip n’ Stroll.

The first event in Central Park for 2025 will be the MLK March on January 20. The march starts at TLU and ends in Central Park with a small program celebrating Dr. King’s legacy.

Moonlight & Roses on April 4 will feature jazz music in the Memorial Rose Garden, complimentary deserts, and the presentation of the 2024 downtown and art awards.

Downtown will be busy on April 26 as it hosts the Race to Raise and the Spring Trade Days & Earth Day Festival. The race supports Guadalupe Regional Medical Foundation and takes runners from downtown to Starcke Park and back. As the runners make their way back to downtown, they will find over 30 Earth Day exhibitors and 80 trade day vendors educating about green living and selling all sorts of products.

LULAC Council 682 will be hosting its annual Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 2 and 3. The event features live music, vendors, and the celebration of the Mexican heritage.

The Central Park Summer Concert Series will return for live music every Sunday in June. Come enjoy local bands perform.

Pecan Fest on October 25 is a celebration of our famous nut and our agricultural heritage. Over 100 vendors will be set up with many selling pecan products.

Our holiday season will be kicked off with the Holiday Stroll that includes a parade, cocoa, a 5K, kids activities, and Santa! The 2025 dates are December 4 – 6.

Be sure to check the calendar of events at www.visitseguin.com to stay informed about these events and more as they are added to the calendar. See you in downtown Seguin in 2025!
