(Seguin) — TLU’s gift giving will continue into the weekend with this year’s Christmas Vespers.
For years, Texas Lutheran University has hosted Christmas Vespers, a presentation of beloved Christmas carols from all over the world. This year’s 2024 concert is titled “When All Is Still.” Although tickets are free, they usually go fast. That’s according to Tracy Donley, the director of communications and content.
“People are welcome to go to our website to reserve their tickets or they can call, or they can stop by the TLU bookstore. There is no charge for the tickets. If they reserve them in advance, they will be held at will call – at the door the night that they go to the performance,” said Donley.
During the service, the TLU Choirs will present the world premieres of three new works:
“What Child Is This?” “I Wonder as I Wander” and “When All Is Still.”
The TLU Orchestral Winds and Percussion will join with the choirs to bring the music of the season to Seguin.
Performances are scheduled for today, Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 8 a 4 p.m. in Jackson Auditorium. There will be an additional performance on Dec. 15 at 4 p.m. at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Austin. No tickets are required for the Austin performance.
