Movie Night on the Field returns tonight to Matador Stadium

Movie Night on the Field returns tonight to Matador Stadium

(Seguin) — You’re invited to snuggle up as a family for some Matador Christmas magic. The Seguin High School Junior Class will again be hosting a holiday favorite on the big screen tonight at Matador Stadium.

Emily Allen, Seguin ISD’s director of communications, says the fundraising event, called Movie Night on The Field, is open to all Seguin ISD students and families and will feature a holiday favorite.

“The Seguin High School Junior Class is raising money for prom, and they are inviting the entire community to come out to Matador Stadium and watch Home Alone on our Jumbotron. It’s a great opportunity to come out with your family and enjoy what I’m sure will be some cooler weather and just kind of get into that holiday spirit. Who doesn’t love Home Alone?” said Allen.

Now although they are planning lots of fun, Allen says tonight’s movie does come with a few rules.

“There’s no outside food or drink allowed but there will be concessions available that you can eat in the stands before going out on the field. You can’t have food and drink on the field. We do need to keep it clean, but you can bring your blankets, your chairs – whatever you want to use to be comfortable on the field and watch the movie,” said Allen.

The gates open at 5:30 p.m. followed by the movie at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for those 9 years old and up and $2 for kids 8 and younger. Tickets can be purchased at the gate. Only cash will be accepted. Matador Stadium is located at 1315 E. Cedar St.
