(Seguin) – Seguin and Guadalupe County families have exactly two weeks to let Blue Santa know if they need a little assistance this holiday season.
The annual program, hosted by the Seguin Police Department, provides assistance with gifts to families in need during the holiday season.
While organized by the Seguin Police Department, The Blue Santa Program is supported by the community and local businesses. However, in order to receive assistance, applications must be handed in no later than Friday, Dec. 6. The police department stands committed to its deadline to ensure that gifts for boys and girls up to the age of 12 are provided.
Applicants must have a current ID card or driver’s license along with proof of income. They must also meet eligibility requirements. They include WIC, housing authority resident, Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, disability, TANF, Lone Star Card, and/or be recommended by a teacher or Seguin PD employee.
They will also need to have a working phone number and email address.
