(Seguin) – The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees hopes to review its bullying policy before the public just before it breaks for the holiday season.
The school district hopes to review its policy during its next regular board meeting on December 17.
The decision comes after the district received public input on bullying concerns in Seguin ISD schools. Trustees and school leadership recently heard from parents and community members at the district’s Nov. 18 Town Hall and the board’s Nov. 19 regular meeting.
“We understand that there are questions about how bullying is addressed,” said Superintendent Dr. Veronica Vijil. “Our trustees and leadership team want to assure parents of the steps and protocols already in place, but we are also looking for ways to improve for the health and safety of our students.”
District officials say trustees will also discuss discipline protocols and procedures at a future board workshop.
