(Seguin) – One of TLU’s favorite Halloween traditions returns tonight. Texas Lutheran University is extending a special invitation to all the little ghosts and goblins for its annual Boo Fest. The community trunk or treat event will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Tschoepe Hall parking lot located off of West Court Street.
Tracy Donley, TLU director of communications and content, says the university has hosted the Halloween favorite for years. The event first started inside the hallways of the local dorms. However, its continued popularity especially after COVID transformed it into a trunk or treat festivity.
“Boo Bash is a really neat event that has been going on for years. It’s a trunk or treat event and the whole community is invited. We usually get over 1,000 kids with their parents,” said Donley.
Donley says Boo Bash has become a favorite not only for the community but for the college students who also enjoy this time of year.
“Students at TLU will be participating. There will be costumes. There will be trunk or treats for everyone and it’s just a really fun family friendly event – free of charge and it’s just a thing that TLU likes to do for the community every year. It’s one of our really fun Halloween traditions,” said Donley.
Refreshments and a photo booth will also be provided. Parking is available anywhere throughout the campus during the event.
