SEGUIN, Texas — A 28th-minute goal by forward Callie Brame (San Antonio/Churchill) was the difference in the game as Texas Lutheran shut out St. Thomas, 1-0, Friday night at Gustafson Field.Brame’s goal broke a scoreless tie at 28:22, allowing the Bulldogs (8-5-1, 4-2 SCAC) to record their fifth shutout of the season.TLU outshot St. Thomas (6-4-2, 2-3 SCAC) by a count of 14-1 and seven shots to the Celts one in the first half.The Bulldogs were aggressive early with Brame recording two shots within the first four minutes. The Bulldogs continued to apply pressure on the Celts defense before Klarissa Martinez (Houston/Incarnate Word Academy) and Kelly Wolfe (San Antonio/Churchill) connected to find Brame for the game-winner in the 28th minute, her second goal of the season. The assist is a career-high sixth for Martinez and career-high second for Wolfe. Wolfe picks up the assist in her 78th career game as Bulldog tying her sister, Krystel, for second all-time as she nears becoming TLU’s all-time leader in games played and started.

Alysa Marquez (Miami, FL/Dr. Michael Krop) earned her third solo and fourth total shutout of the year.
