Wilma Kutz

Wilma Kutz, age 90 of Marion, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024.

Wilma was born on June 12, 1934 to Herman & Annie (Retzloff) Dojahn, in Karnes City, Texas. She was the second youngest out of 8 children. Wilma grew up helping her older sisters with their children. She is known to many of her nieces & nephews as “Sister”, because they all grew up together.

Wilma met Hamilton Kutz, Sr in 1950. They then married on December 30, 1951. Together, they worked the farm, raised Hereford cattle & she kept house all the while raising 4 boys. They were married 55 years when Hamilton Sr passed away in 2006.

Wilma loved playing dominoes! She taught all of her grandchildren how to play and would jump at any chance to play! As long as you played by her rules.

Wilma loved to cook & bake! If you have ever had her sweet rice, you were lucky! Christmas time required all flavors of cookies, and a lot of them!

Wilma loved her family! Especially the grandchildren. She practically raised all of them! Her eyes would light up everytime someone said they were expecting! She was always asking for us to sit & write down all the names. She was so proud!

Wilma is survived by her sons, Hamilton Jr & wife Jean, Fred & wife Nancy, Dave, and Glenn & Wife Dana. Daughter in law, Debbie Winston. One brother, William Dojahn & wife Julie and numerous nieces & nephews.
