Women jailed following area drug bust


(Schertz) –A pair of women are behind bars for allegedly selling and distributing narcotics throughout Seguin, Schertz and New Braunfels.

Arrested were Aniza Rojas, 29, of San Antonio, and Stephanie Deleon, 34, of Converse. According to officials with the Guadalupe County Narcotics Task Force (GCNTF), the women were arrested at approximately 1 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13 in the 17000 block of I-35 N in Schertz. The operation resulted in the seizure of 14.8 grams of Methamphetamine, 13.1 grams of Alprazolam pills, and 856 grams of Promethazine with Codeine syrup.

Narcotics officials say the women were suspected of attempting to distribute narcotics at the time of their arrest.  Rojas and Deleon were subsequently booked into the Guadalupe County Jail. Both subjects face charges of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 over four grams but less than 200 grams, Manufacture or a delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 less than 28 grams, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 4 over 400 grams. Rojas also faces an additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 over 1 gram.

The Guadalupe County Narcotics Task Force (GCNTF) is composed of Detectives, Investigators, and Criminal Interdiction K9 Units from Seguin Police Department, Cibolo Police Department, and the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.
