Harry Eddie Bierstedt


Harry Eddie Bierstedt, age 91 of Seguin, passed away on September 4, 2024.  Harry was born on October 6, 1932 in Seguin, Texas to Tilda (Grimm) and William Bierstedt.  Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army.  After serving, he went to work for the Koehler Company as a cabinet maker up until his retirement.

He loved hunting, fishing, and traveling to many places.  He and Dorothy especially enjoyed going to Eagle Pass and Louisiana.  Many good times were spent with family, friends and neighbors.

Harry is preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy Mae Bierstedt, his parents, his twin brother, Herbert O. Bierstedt and his nephew, Douglas W. Bierstedt.

Survivors include his brother, Alton Bierstedt (Jane); nephews, Aaron Bierstedt (Kim), and Blake Bierstedt (Sharon); niece, Linda Martin (Leslie); numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with the Reverend Judith Miller officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Bierstedt, Johnathan Bierstedt, Leslie Martin, George Bierstedt, David Stahl, Colton Stahl and Derek Ranft.  Honorary pallbearers will be Raul Guerra, Stephen Daniel, Jack Coker, Steve Horvath, and Ronald Hermes.    

The family would like to thank the staffs of Nesbit Living and Recovery Center, Guadalupe Regional Medical Center, and Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services for their care of Harry.
