The summer’s Camp Broadway returns to Seguin
(Seguin) — After only two weeks of putting in the work, Seguin’s youngest stars will be hitting the stage at the Texas Theatre for this summer’s presentation of Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo Jr. The Stars of the Texas Camp Broadway campers and counselors are giving families three opportunities this weekend to catch the fun and animated theatre production — a production that they have worked on very hard this summer.
Camp Director Sheila Lucas looks forward to the summer program and says this year’s show is again amazing.
“If you want to see stellar children in this community just come see what these kids can do. It’s heartwarming and it will make you smile and if you are having a bad day, come out and see Finding Nemo Jr. We will brighten your day. I guarantee you. We have fish of every color, shape and size — flying through the audience, swimming under the sea and singing and dancing. it’s just going to be magical. It’s an hour of pure magic so don’t miss it,” said Lucas.
Lucas says she continues to be amazed by all the new talent that the program welcomes. She says they are indeed stars in the making.
“They become stars overnight and our youngest are five years old. They are in kindergarten and we go up to 14 years old in the 9th grade and our five-year-olds, they steal the show — of course. They can’t help it. They steal the show,” said Lucas.
Show times are at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. A Sunday matinee is also scheduled for 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.
