Dozens of parade entries take home top prizes

(Seguin) — Bragging rights continue today for those taking home top honors in this year’s Biggest Small Town Fourth of July Parade in Texas.

Thousands gathered Thursday morning for the annual parade in downtown Seguin. The parade helped wrap up Seguin’s tradition of hosting Independence Day celebrations over a course of four days.

The list of winners and appropriate ribbons and trophies were presented to each of the winning floats as they traveled through the parade route in Central Park.

The award winners of the city of Seguin’s 2024 Fourth of July Parade are as follows:

The prize for Best Overall Winner went to the Cub Scout Pack 725.

Most Unique went to Pure and Gentle.

Winning Most Patriotic was the Guadalupe County Jeepers.

Finally, wrapping up this year’s top awards was Third Day Coffee.

A total of 20 special Recognition Ribbon Winners were also announced amid the 171 plus entries.

That list includes:

Serving as judges for the event included Jennifer Gauna, Ashley Hopper, and Chris Rangel.

This year’s Fourth of July festivities in the city of Seguin also included the annual KWED Freedom Fiesta; the Summer Concert Series in the Park Patriotic Concert and the July 3rd Fireworks Fiesta.
