Seguin three-star receiver Nik Henry lands another college offer

(Seguin) — Seguin High School three-star receiver Nik Henry received his 12th college football offer on Tuesday.

Henry, who is entering his senior season for the Matadors, announced on social media yesterday that he received an offer from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Henry was recently named a three-star recruit by athletic recruitment website 247Sports and Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.

As a junior in 2023, Henry led Seguin in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. The wide-out had 35 receptions for 766 yards and eight touchdowns in eight games played.

The speedy wide receiver won a bronze medal at the UIL Class 5A state track meet last month competing as a member of the Seguin boys 4X100 meter relay team. Henry along with Ocean Moreno, Elliot Weaver and Kayden Holz finished third in the state at the May 3rd meet. The Seguin boys 4X200 meter relay team consisting of Moreno, Henry, Weaver and Sammy Bode finished fifth. Henry also competed in the boys 100 meter dash finishing in fifth place in the finals.

Henry also has college football offers from Grambling State University, University of Texas El Paso (UTEP), Montana State University, Texas Southern University, Air Force Academy, Army West Point, University Of Incarnate word (UIW), Lamar university, East Central University, Texas State University and Stephen F. Austin University (SFA).

Nik Henry along with running back Devin Hall, offensive lineman David Barron and quarterback Corey Dailey each have college football offers for the Seguin football program coming into this season. The Matadors will host the Alamo Heights Mules on August 30th to start their 2024 season.
