Navarro names new junior high principal

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today
Navarro names new junior high principal

(Seguin) — The Navarro ISD community is invited tonight to meet the new principal for Navarro Junior High. Tori Beutnagel has been named as the new campus principal. Beutnagel is making the move to Navarro after years of serving several key roles within the Seguin ISD. Up until now, she was serving as the associate principal at Barnes Middle School.

District officials say Beutnagel brings 18 years of educational experience and a strong background in curriculum implementation, staff management, student-centered initiatives, and campus leadership. They say she is dedicated to driving academic excellence, fostering positive relationships, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Navarro ISD Superintendent Mandy Epley says the district is excited about welcoming Beutnagel to a community she knows very well.

“Navarro is a family feel. She has grown up in the area. She attends church and has attended since she was a young child, Frieden’s Church, so many of the people in our community already know who she is and know her commitment to students and her commitment to creating a culture of education that employees are glad to come to work, students are excited to come and learn and we look forward to seeing her join our family and bring in the ideas that she has to continue to make us better and we really are excited to have her on board. Her energy, her experience, I think, is really going to help us grow as we add more families,” said Epley.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Texas State University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University, Beutnagel is slated to earn a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University this December.

To ensure a smooth transition for its families in advance of next year, the district tonight will host a special meet and greet so that they can welcome Beutnagel to the Panther Family.

Community, parents and students are invited to stop by the meet and greet today from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Navarro Junior High Cafeteria.

Beutnagel takes over for longtime Junior High School Principal Luke Morales who will resign at the end of the school year after serving the Navarro ISD for 20 plus years.
