(Comal County) –The Texas Rangers are investigating a shooting over the weekend that involved a Comal County deputy.
Deputies responded around noon on Sunday to a call about a suicidal person at a home on Elm Creek Road near New Braunfels.
During a conversation with the deputies, the person pulled a handgun, and was shot by one of the deputies.
The wounded person is in the ICU of a local hospital.
The deputy is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
