(Geronimo) — Several Navarro Lady Panthers were recognized on the District 28-4A All-District team by the district softball coaches this week.

Four Lady Panthers were selected to the All-District First Team. Junior Reagan Herrera was selected as a first team pitcher. Sophomore Cadee Zimmer was honored as a first team outfielder. Senior Kaislynn Tovar was named a first team infielder. And sophomore Shelbi Stevens earned first team accolades at catcher.

Stevens broke the Navarro High School single season home run and RBI records with 10 homers and 54 runs batted in this season. Stevens was also a first team selection for Navarro in 2023 as a freshman.

Junior infielder Sarah Falor was named to the All-District Second Team. Among Navarro’s honorable mentions were junior outfielder Madison Gilliam, senior outfielder Arianna Rodriguez and sophomore infielder Jillian Baker.

Named on the Academic All-District team were Herrera, Zimmer, Tovar, Stevens, Gilliam and Rodriguez along with Isabella Hartman, Jocelynn Diaz, Ally Anista, Caylee Schronk, Sam Reyes, Haley Karlik and Kennedy Seek.

The Lady Panthers established a number of team records during the 2024 season. School records were set for home runs with 26, runs scored with 307, RBI with 242 and team batting average at .407.

Navarro finished the season in third place in District 28-4A under first-year head coach Alma Klatt. The Lady Panthers advanced to the Bi-District round of the UIL playoffs.
