Public groundbreaking set for Rudeloff Road Expansion Project

(Seguin) – City of Seguin officials are encouraging residents to follow along in their journey as they oversee the Rudeloff Road Expansion Project from start to finish.

The first step in that journey will be at 9:30 a.m. today for the public groundbreaking ceremony to be held today at the Fields at Huber Ranch.

Phase I of the thoroughfare improvements, stretches 1.5 miles from State Highway 46 to

Huber Road just east of the softball fields.

City officials say the first phase of the roadway project includes transforming the current two-lane road to four to five lanes, with concrete hike and bike trails on each side of the street. Drainage improvements are also part of the project.

The project is being funded by a grant from the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for roadway construction projects in the community.

Residents who live next door and daily commuters are especially encouraged to attend to learn more about the upcoming project. The city hopes to have the roadway expanded in Summer 2026.

Huber Fields is located at 3000 Huber Road.
