(Austin) — Marion High School’s Maggie Rudisaile earned a bronze medal in the pole vault at the UIL Class 3A state track & field meet in Austin on Thursday.

The senior cleared the bar at 11 feet-six inches. Rudisaile matched her height from her gold medal performance at the Region IV meet last month.

The meet continues today with six Seguin High School athletes competing. Nik Henry will compete in the boys 100 meter dash. Henry will join Ocean Moreno, Elliot Weaver and Kayden Holz on the Seguin boys 100 meter relay team, which will look for gold after taking the regional championship last month.

The Seguin boys 200 meter relay team will also look to duplicate a gold medal performance from the regionals. That team is comprised of Moreno, Henry, Weaver and Sammy Bode. The running events will get underway at 5 O’clock this afternoon.

And Daisha Shular is competing for Seguin in the girls long jump this morning. Shular will participate in the girls 100 meter dash this afternoon.

The UIL state track and field meet runs through tomorrow at Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium in Austin.
