Marion Bulldogs start baseball playoffs tonight on KWED

(Weimar) — The Marion Bulldogs start their playoff journey in Weimar today as they take on Tidehaven in a rematch of last year’s Bi-District match-up.

The Bulldogs won District 26-3A going unbeaten in district for the fifth straight year. Marion has won 45 straight district games going back to 2019. The Bulldogs will meet the Tigers, the fourth place finisher in District 25-3A for the second year in a row. Marion swept Tidehaven in two close games last season, winning both games by one run.

This year’s Bi-District series will be held in Weimar. Game one is today at Weimar Veterans Park. Game two will be held on Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. and a game three, if necessary, will take place 30 minutes after the completion of game two.

First pitch for today’s game is set for 6 p.m. We will have the game on KWED. Our Bulldog baseball pregame coverage starts at around 5:45 this afternoon from Weimar on AM 1580 and streaming at SeguinToday.com.

(Fredericksburg) — The Navarro Panthers are up in the Hill Country tonight to take on the Fredericksburg Billies to start their Class 4A three-game Bi-District series.

Navarro was the second place finisher in District 28-4A. The Billies finished third in District 27-4A.

The series starts this evening at Fredericksburg High School. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.

Game two will be tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in Geronimo at Navarro High School.

And a game three, if necessary, will be held on Saturday evening at 6 O’clock at the Wimberley High School baseball complex.
