(Marion) — The Marion community is invited to welcome the future of the Marion ISD. The school district will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for its newest bond projects this Saturday. Marion voters in November agreed to a $78.8 million bond election. Projects include new safety and security upgrades throughout the district, career and technology upgrades plus renovations to the high school which includes a new competition gym with weight room and locker rooms. The groundbreaking is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at 501 Bulldog Lane.
