Hilmar Klaehn, age 96 of Seguin, passed away on April 23, 2024. Hilmar was born on September 8, 1927, in Gillespie County, Texas to Lina (Lang) and Karl Klaehn.
Hilmar is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Adalena Klaehn, his son, Ronnie Hilmar Klaehn, son-in-law, Harold Klaerner; his grand-daughter-in-law, Amanda Reed Klaehn, great-grandson, Cash Carley Scott, his parents and his sisters, Wanda Moellendorf Lott and Mae Petri.
Survivors include his daughter, Felicia “Duddy” Klaerner; son, Gary Klaehn and wife Gretel; daughter-in-law, Betty Klaehn; 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren great-greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary with the Rev. Paul Theiss officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Harper Community Cemetery in Harper Texas at 2:30 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Klaehn, Darin Klaehn, Christopher Klaehn, Hoyt Klaerner, Weston Scott, Robby Scott, Cooper Klaehn, and Talon Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Dreibrodt, Charles Krackau, Russell Bading, and Chris Bernhard.
