Seguin and Marion high school student-athletes are moving on to the state track & field meet.

(San Antonio) — Several Seguin Matadors are off to the Class 5A state meet after outstanding performances at the Region IV meet at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio over the weekend.

Nik Henry won the silver medal in the boys 100 meter dash.

The boys 100 meter relay team of Henry, Ocean Moreno, Elliot Weaver and Kayden Holz won the regional championship with a gold medal performance.

The boys 200 meter relay team also won a regional championship gold medal. That team is comprised of Moreno, Henry, Weaver and Sammy Bode.

In the girls competition, Daisha Shular took home the gold in the 100 meter dash and she won the silver in the long jump.

(Seguin) — And Maggie Rudisaile will represent Marion High School at the state meet.  Rudisaile won the gold in the girls pole vault at the Class 3A Region IV meet in Seguin this past weekend.

The UIL state track and field meet takes place May 2nd through 4th at Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium in Austin.
