(Houston) — The Lifegate Christian School girls track & field team took home hardware while breaking records at the Texas Christian Athletic League state track meet in Houston on Saturday.
The 4X100 meter relay team of Lyndsey Phillips, Ariana Lindsey, Elizabeth Jordan and Kylie Maples placed second to earn a silver medal. Maples earned a gold and another silver by finishing first in the long jump and second in the high jump.
Sharla Maples brought home two gold medals. The sophomore won both the discus and shot put competition. Maples established a new TCAL record in the shot put with a throw of 41’3″.
