Regional high school track & field meets start on Friday.

(San Antonio) — The UIL Class 5A Region IV meet takes place at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio.

Seguin High School student-athletes who will be competing include:

Ocean Moreno in the 200 meter dash and the 4X200 meter relay along with Sammy Body, Elliot Weaver and Nik Henry. Henry will also compete in the 100 meter and he’ll join Moreno, Weaver and Kayden Holz on the Matador 4X100 relay team.

Daisha Shular will compete in the girls 100 and the 200 meters along with the long jump. Leah Brown will represent Seguin in the girls triple jump and Zoe Seldon will compete in the shot put.

(Kingsville) — Navarro Panther qualifiers will compete at the Class 4A Region IV track meet in Kingsville

Xavier Cropper will represent Navarro in the boys 400 meter dash. Ethan Luu will compete in the 3200 meter run. Jacob Arias is in the 300 meter hurdles. And the Navarro 4X400 relay team will also compete.

The UIL Class 4A Region IV track meet will be held starting Friday down at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

(Seguin) — And the Marion track & field team will have a number of student-athletes competing at the Class 3A Region IV meet in Seguin starting Friday.

Gavin Soefje will compete in the boys 800 meter run. Chase Hallmark is in the boys triple jump. Michael Purcell will compete in the boys discus. Justin Dehoyos will participate in the boys shot put. Brody Fizer is in the boys pole vault.

Maggie Luna will compete in the girls 100 and 200 meters. Emily Sampson will compete in the girls shot put. Maggie Rudisaile, Mandy Jenkins and Kaitlyn Rackley are all in the girls pole vault. And the Marion girls 4X100 meter relay team will also compete.

The UIL Class 3A Region IV track and field meet starts Friday at Seguin High School.
