(Seguin) – The work that goes on inside of local classrooms is not going unnoticed.
Leading that work is this year’s batch of Campus Teachers of the Year in the Seguin ISD.
The top 13 teachers in the Seguin ISD for the 2023-2024 school year have been named. The teachers were each selected as Teacher of the Year by his or her campus peers.
Those named as Teacher of the Year for their respective schools include Tracy Tate of Ball Early Childhood Center; Laura Jones of Koennecke Elementary; Baldermar Nava of Weinert Elementary School; Diana Stephens of Jefferson Avenue Elementary; Stephanie Ramirez of Rodriguez Elementary School; Brianna Green of Vogel Elementary School; Angela Bennett of Patlan Elementary School; Amy Castillo of McQueeney Elementary School; Stacey Wiatrek of A.J. Briesemeister Middle School; Traci Salazar of Barnes Middle School; Samantha Noble of Seguin High School; Jennifer Kendrick of Mercer-Blumberg Learning Center and Barbara Taylor of Seguin Alternative School.
Each of these teachers will now go on to compete for the district’s title of Seguin ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and Secondary Teacher of the Year. The annual awards banquet for that contest is slated in May.
