Martha Lucille Harrelson Jandt, age 94 of Seguin, passed away on April 9, 2024. Martha was born on October 30, 1929, in Horry County, South Carolina to Ruth (Graham) and Coy Harrelson.
Martha will be remembered as a lifelong teacher educating many children to their success. She enjoyed gardening and raising cattle. She was a member of the American Legion H U Wood Post 245 Auxiliary and the Seguin Sunset Lions Club. Martha and Robert were members of Emanuel’s Lutheran Church for many years.
Martha is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert “Bob” Alvin Jandt, Maj., USAF (Ret.), her parents, her brother, Bruce Harrelson, sister, Evelyn Harrelson Marsh, and her niece, Sherie Huot.
Survivors include her daughter DeeDee Jandt Brite (Matt); step-children, Becky Jandt Lake (Gene), Bill Jandt (Bylenda); grandchildren; Ashlyn Jandt (John), Cody Jandt (Stacy), and Lane Springs; great-grandchildren, Laramie Hernandez and Will Jandt; nephew, John Harrelson; beloved fur baby, Tyson; other loving family members and many friends.
Visitation will begin on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. with the Reverend Jeremy Roy officiating. Private burial will be held in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
