(Geronimo) — On Wednesday, Navarro High School senior Landun Taylor accepted an offer to play college baseball at Southeastern Baptist College.
Taylor was named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Class 4A All-State First Team as a junior in 2023. Taylor was also a First Team All-District 28-4A selection as an outfielder. And he was named to the Academic All-District team as well last season.
This season, Taylor is tops on the Panthers with a .493 average. He also leads Navarro with 33 hits, 25 runs, seven triples and a home run.
On the mound, Taylor is 2-1 for the Panthers with a 2.03 ERA. He has pitched in five games so far this season.
A multi-sport athlete at Navarro High School, Taylor also played for the Panther football team. He was named an All-District defensive end in 2022 and 2023.
Southeastern Baptist College is located in Laurel, Mississippi. The Chargers are a National Christian College Athletic Association Division-II baseball program. Their head coach is Rafael Farrell.
Landun Taylor and the Navarro Panthers are currently in second place in District 28-4A with five games left in this season. Navarro will play at third place Cuero on Friday.
