Dora Elia (Valdez) Davis passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born to Federico Valdez and Feliciana Villareal on February 20, 1930 in Galveston, Texas.
Dora is preceded in death by her parents, Federico and Feliciana Valdez, and infant brothers, Jose and Hector Valdez.
Left to cherish and honor her memory is her son, Edward W. Davis and wife Jessica; grandsons, Jordan A. Davis and Damian R. Medina; great granddaughter, Alina S. Davis; sisters, Gloria Gonzales, Helda Adame, and Irma Castañon and husband, Robert Castañon; brothers, Homer Valdez, Federico Valdez Jr. and wife Carmen Trevino, and Hector Valdez. She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Valdez Cemetery in Zuehl, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Edward Davis, Jordan Davis, Hector Gonzales, Robert Castañon Jr., Orlando Castañon, and Dakota Castañon.
