Marvin Lee Berry, Jr., age 79, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on February 2, 2024. Marvin was born on October 11, 1944, in Richmond, Virginia, to Lillian Gaynelle (Harding) and Marvin Lee Berry, Sr.
He proudly served his country by serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Marvin worked at Motorola for 35 years. He was a longtime member of the First Methodist Church. He and Joyce enjoyed volunteering at the Christian Cupboard for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lowana Jones, and his brothers-in-law William Goodwin and Gerald Goodwin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce Goodwin Berry; his brother David Berry; children, Leandra Berry and spouse Kevin Sheffield, Jarrett Berry and spouse Reene Berry, and John Berry; grandchildren, Kyler Berry, Quinn Sheffield, Sawyer Sheffield; sister-in-law Kathy Yahner; brother-in-law Dale Goodwin; numerous nieces and nephews, many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Cathe Evins officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
