High school basketball is on the air tonight on KWED.

(Geronimo) — The Navarro Runnin’ Lady Panthers will welcome Class 4A 10th-ranked Boerne to Geronimo this evening.

The Lady Greyhounds are in second place in District 27-4A at 7-2. They have a 26-4 overall record. The Lady Panthers are right behind Boerne in third at 7-3. Navarro is 23-10 overall on the season.

Junior Tegan Harborth leads Navarro in scoring at 15.2 points per game. She went over 1000 points in her career last Tuesday in a Lady Panther win over Davenport.

On Sunday, Navarro’s Sienna Kramer was selected to play in the inaugural San Antonio Sports All-Star Basketball Game. The senior is averaging nearly 10 points and seven rebounds per contest.

(Boerne) — Over in the Hill Country, the Navarro boys will be at Boerne tonight. Tip between the Greyhounds and Panthers takes place at 6:30 at Boerne High School.

(Seguin) — In Seguin, the Matadors will host the number two ranked team in Class 5A when the Veterans Memorial Patriots invade Goldie Harris Gym in a District 26-5A tilt.

The first place Patriots are unbeaten in district play so far this season. The Matadors are in 5th place, just one game out of the final playoff spot with five games left to play. Seguin senior guard John Jackson, who will also play in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Game, is averaging 28 points and 10 rebounds per game.

The Matadors and Patriots will tip at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Goldie Harris.

(San Antonio) — The Lady Matadors are over at Veterans Memorial High School tonight to take on the Lady Patriots.

Senior Desiree Zuniga is one of the top three-point threats in the state and nation. She’s made 93 treys through 32 games. Zuniga will also compete in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Game.

The Lady Mats will be looking for a season sweep of the Lady Patriots. Seguin beat Veterans Memorial back on January 5th in Seguin. Tonight’s tip between the Lady Matadors and Lady Patriots takes place at 6:30 p.m. tonight in San Antonio.

(Marion) — The Marion basketball teams are hosting a District 26-3A girls/boys doubleheader tonight against Nixon-Smiley. The Bulldog boys are in third place in district while the girls are in fourth place with a one-game lead for the final playoff spot.

The girls’ game will start tonight’s doubleheader at 6:15 p.m. at Marion High School.

(Seguin) — And the Lifegate Christian teams will also host a doubleheader today against Salem Sayers Baptist Academy with the girls playing first at 5 O’clock.
