(Seguin) — The holiday season is over, and now it’s time to start taking down those decorations. If you’re not sure what to do with your real Christmas tree, the city of Seguin is offering a few suggestions for you this year.
Seguin Public Information Officer Jennifer Sourdellia says residents wanting to dispose of their live Christmas trees can simply place them out at the curb with their garbage.
“We’ve got two different ways that they can get rid of their discarded live Christmas trees. First, I want to remind everyone to please, if you’re going to do this, remove all the lights, the decorations and tree stand before placing your tree at your curb. We will pick that up on your regular trash day. Christmas trees can also be picked up during brush collection. So, if you want to check and see what your brush collection route is, please visit please seguintexas.gov., click on the GIS icon. We’ve got a city services app where you can type in your address and that will determine your brush zone and collection schedule. If you’ve got any other questions, you can just call our citizen relations at 830-401-2445. It’s as easy as that,” said Sourdellia.
