(Cibolo) — A Cibolo woman sits in the Guadalupe County Jail after shooting her husband during an argument. Cibolo Police Department detectives say at around 3 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Spring Fawn Road for a report of a shooting between a husband and wife.
Upon the initial officer’s arrival, a male with a gunshot wound to his arm was located in the front of the house. The male advised that he had been shot by his wife. He was transported by Schertz EMS to an area hospital.
He is listed in serious but stable condition.
Arrested was his wife Sonia Hammond, 37, of Cibolo. She is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence), a first-degree felony. She was booked into the Guadalupe County Jail where she is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
