(San Marcos) — The Texas High School Coaches Association announced their Academic All-State teams in cross country, tennis, and volleyball this month. There were several area student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom.
Seguin’s Ily Stamm was named to the Volleyball Academic All-State First Team. She was joined by teammates Keighly Dailey, Karsyn Ross and Elizabeth Suarez who were named Academic Honorable Mention.
Navarro volleyball player Taylor Helms was also named to the Academic All-State First Team. Sienna Kramer was named to the Second Team.
In cross country, Seguin’s Jada Howard was recognized on the Academic All-State Second Team. Navarro’s Carlos Garza was named an All-State Honorable Mention on the cross country academic team.
And three Navarro tennis players were named Academic All-State. Abby Pylant and Xavier Cropper were named to the Second Team while Katie Hamilton was named Honorable Mention.
