(Seguin) – A multi-vehicle collision on State Highway 46 has claimed the lives of two drivers. Seguin Police say the accident was reported just before 1 a.m. Sunday at Hwy. 46 and Cordova Road.
Upon arrival, officers say they observed a Chrysler 300 engulfed in flames and a Jeep Cherokee with extensive damage from the collision. Shortly after the collision, they say two other vehicles struck debris from the involved vehicles and the drivers were evaluated by Seguin EMS.
Further investigation revealed that while the Jeep Cherokee was traveling southbound on State Highway 46 N, it veered into northbound traffic striking the Chrysler 300 head on.
Drivers of both vehicles, Natalie Jean Gage-Avila, 23, New Braunfels and Marcus Keshawn Harris, 37, of Luling were pronounced dead at the scene.
An occupant of the additional vehicle involved was transported by Seguin EMS to a local hospital. That person remains in stable condition.
Investigation into the accident continues.
