SEGUIN, Texas — The Texas Lutheran women’s basketball team has been slotted third in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Preseason Coaches Poll, the conference announced Thursday.No. 6/12 Trinity came in as the favorite with eight first place votes (64 points). The Colorado College Tigers, who received a vote in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll, were picked to finish second with 56 points, while the Bulldogs received the remaining first place vote and were picked third with 49 points. Rounding out the top five were Schreiner (41 points) and Dallas (38 points). Predicted to finish sixth is St. Thomas (27 points) followed by Southwestern (22 points), Centenary (15 points), and Austin College (12 points).
The Bulldogs return 13 members of its roster, including seven of their top eight scorers from a season ago.
